Chuck Stutes, P.E.

Chuck Stutes has served as a Project Engineer for Meyer & Associates, Inc. since 1981. Chuck graduated from McNeese State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Chuck has extensive Design and Project Management experience in Roadway, Drainage, Site Civil Commercial Facilities, Industrial Storage Facilities, Railroads, Ports, Airports, Water and Sewer Infrastructure.

Chuck has served as a Senior Project Director on all Meyer Marine/Port Projects at the Port of Lake Charles since 1987 including Bulk Handling, Docks, Bulkheads, Transit Sheds, Warehouses, Drainage, Roadways, Railroads, Container Storage Areas and Water and Sewer Infrastructure. He also has served in a similar role at the West Calcasieu Port since 2016 with projects including Bulk Heads, Docks, Dredging, Roadways and Warehouses. These Port Projects at the Port of Lake Charles and West Calcasieu Port have a combined Project Construction Budget in excess of $350 million.

Chuck served as Project Engineer/Senior Project Director for Major Development Projects at Delta Downs Casino, Golden Nugget Casino and L’Auberge Casino including design of Roadways, Parking Areas, Water and Sewer Infrastructure, Casino River Boat Basins and Recreational Marinas. These Casino Projects had a combined Project Construction Budget in excess of $70 million.

Chuck is a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He is a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, McNeese Alumni Association, McNeese Cowboy Club and a Board Member for The Boys Village Foundation. He and his wife Kathy have two sons and seven grandchildren.
